Sensors Overview
Our robot made use of the following sensors to carry out its tasks:
All of these sensors and their respective signal processing boards were powered by the same single battery that also powered the Arduino. Our robot successfully beat the brick before the implementation of either the forward/backwards sensor or the front bump sensor.
- 4 Tape Sensors to prevent it from falling off the edge of the playing field
- An array of 8 IR sensors to find the opposing robot and the sequester beacon
- A forward/backwards sensor, which was used to determine what direction the robot was moving
- A front bump sensor
